The top-class New Course at Burhill Golf Club drew further praise- this time from an international field of competitors competing in last months qualifying round for the 2011 Senior Open Championship.

This time, despite tricky and incelment weather conditions, competitors in the 18-hole event were full of admiration for the condition of the par-72 course.

Almost 100 golfers from all over the world took part and they were united in being bullish about the extreamely neat and tidy condition of the course, in particular the greens which have played superbly all year,and the fantastic layout.

Despite a valiant effort Chris Hebdon failed to qualify fo the Senior Open Championship-the European Senior Tour's Major which was held at Walton Heath Club 21-24 of July. The popular Pro will now return to proving his friendly expertise to helping golfers at Hoebridge in Woking improve their game.
